Frontend Software Engineer
Together with our client’s Technical Lead and Project Manager you will determine the functional and technical needs of the software solution. You can document your own code and make a design for the critical use cases. You need to be persistent, have a commercial antenna and are able to communicate with different parties. That’s a given. 

You are a driven developer with a passion for building innovative web applications. You will work with a team who shares your enthusiasm and are always up to date of the latest developments and techniques in the area of HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, cross browser compatibility and responsive web design. You know how to convince a designer, a Java developer or the customer to see the solution from your perspective and together with them you make sure the best solution is found. 

At our client both technique and design are important. That’s where you excel because you translate the (visual) design into fitting code that also reflects the backend. In your book interaction and design are equally important. Shaky foundations, corner cutting and cosmetic tricks are subjects in a different book, which is not theirs. Our client build to last, not just to be fast. 

Your profile:

• You have a Bachelor degree in Information technology or software development;
• Knowledge of e-business and PIM is an asset;
• You have at least three years of experience in web projects with significant size and complexity;
• Good communicative and social skills;
• HTML5, CSS3, JSP, JSON and Javascript are no stranger to you;
• You know jQuery and Backbone but you also know when to use just Vanilla JS. Other JavaScript applications like Grunt, Gulp, Jekyll and Assemble.io are also technologies you are not afraid to use;
• You are a craftsman with frameworks like Bootstrap and Foundation, you can structure your Sass & Less with the BEM methodology and Atomic design when needed;
• Passion for your profession and the needs of our clients;
• You speak fluently Dutch and English.
