This is a technical lead position where you mainly need to jump in with any difficult situations where problem-solving, advice and decision-making is needed. Code reviews, evaluation of design alternatives, advice on testing, cost benefit analysis, defining technical strategies will be part of your daily work. It might be that you get back hands-on and it is expected that you understand stakeholder needs and help the product teams define and implement a technological solution.

It’s a pretty challenging position hence why we need an outstanding lead. You take responsibility for 15 multidisciplinary teams each with 3-5 engineers. Those teams are split up into guilds and the guild leads report to you. You need to keep the overview and align them.
Further you closely cooperate with the e-commerce Product Director, Product Owners and enterprise Architects at the enterprise level to establish an architectural runway.

In order to keep the helicopter view but also to help out with specific questions, you need to be tech savvy meaning experience with API integration, AWS, single page applications, architecture, CI and an understanding of backend (Scala, Java) and Frontend programming language.
